Guzaarish

Sometimes you stumble across a movie, which will enter your heart and your soul. You will not feel how the time passes, you will only feel everything the moviemaker is trying to make you understand, to make you feel. This will happen only with a few movies. These movies are like pearls, hidden very well between all the other movies and sometimes they are also hidden behind bad critics.
When I decided to buy this movie, Guzaarish, I wasn't sure if I'm going to like it, or if the movie is to slow and to boring and just like the loud critics said, bad.

I was waiting quite I few days and weeks till I felt brave enought to see this movie.

The moment the dvd was in my recorder turning and spinning the disk, filling my room with the sound and pictures of Guzaarish I was caught. I couldn't move. My soul was touched, my heart was melting and my tears were slowly running down my checks. I loved the movie from the first minute, till the last breath, the last laughter.

The acting of Hrithikh Roshan as Ethan Mascarenhas was wonderful, amazing and crazy good.

My boyfriend asked me once during the movie, he was busy with some other things (no time for dramas) if Hrithikh Roshan and Ashwarya Rai Bachchan are a couple. I told him, no she is the nurse, but they love each other. You can see it in there faces, in there eyes.

Hrithikh Roshan just had his face to express the feelings of the character.

Intense, very intense.

The Movie is bascilly about the plea for a mercy killing of Ethan Mascarenhas, who is quadriplegic. He wishes to die, to leave the life he had for 14 years. If its right or not, even to ask that, would need another Blog Post, so I just leave it by saying he went to court for this.  One can wonder why he wants to die. He has always a joke on the lips, motivates people on his own radio show to life and love live.

Which brings me to my favorite quote from this movie:
“Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.” – Ethan Mascarenhas - Guzaarish

And in the end, what is there else left to do then laugh and smile. The sorrow, the heart aching are not getting better by crying, but maybe the smile can heal it a little bit or it can makes you forget your sorrow.

yours, Ailena
